Jawhar Palace

Chief among these is the Jaivilas Palace, a palace. Although the palace is a private property, the grandeur lends itself to its historical significance. The palace has beautiful oil paintings of the kings of the Mukne dynasty. Apart from this, rare furniture and other items have also been preserved here. The palace is located 42 km from Palghar. Also known as’ Palghar District Mahabaleshwar ‘. It is also gifted with dense forests and a rich pleasant climate. The best time to visit Jawhar is during the monsoons when fog envelops the surrounding villages and hills. Jawhar is also known for Warli paintings. It is a place of typical climate surrounded by forests in a very serene environment. The ruins of Jaivilas and Bhupatgarh, the tribal gods, are worth seeing. Dadar, Kopradhabdaba are worth seeing. Similarly, Hanuman Point is similar to Sunset Point.

Arnala Beach

Arnala is a beautiful fort in the sea forts. It is located in Arnala village, Vasai taluka. Arnala Fort is also known as ‘Jaldurg’ or ‘Zanjire Arnala’. Arnala has been under the control of many empires such as Mughals, Marathas, Portuguese, and finally Peshwas. Sultan Mahmud Begda originally built this fort in 1516 AD. There is no food but water is well available at the fort. The fort is rectangular in shape and is almost surrounded by water. There are many temples like Trimbakeshwar, Bhavani Mata, Kalika Mata and Mahadev. There are three entrances, one of which has a large bastion on both sides which is on the north side of the fort.

Dahanu Boardy Beach

Dahanu Bordi Beach is located in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district. It is spread over a distance of 17 km. It is also famous for its wide and neat beach and the abundance of Chiku fruits and roses. Although it is very hot here in summer, a gentle breeze cools the entire beach. The Mecca of Zoroastrians is a magnificent temple that houses the Zoroastrian sacred fire. It is believed that this fire has been kept intact for almost a thousand years. The Iranian and Persian culture has been preserved here, attracting more foreign tourists.

Alewadi Beach

Alawadi, located near the Boisar industrial area in Palghar district, has a lot of potential for tourism. It is already packed with tourists throughout the year. The government has also recognized the place and is keen to make it as inviting as possible. The place welcomes you with a clean chowpatty, horses and horse-drawn carriages for rent, good food joints, reasonably-priced hotels and resorts; the government has made adequate arrangements for meetings.

Kalamb is the fourth beach in a row after Arnala, Navapur and Rajodi. It is located near the peaceful village of Nirmal in the west of Nalasopara. The sea water is safe to enter and clean for taking a dip.

Vasai Beach

A river merging into the sea is a common sight, but it is not a common sight. Palghar features this unusual sight in the form of the Ulhas River flowing into the Arabian Sea on its southern border from Vasai taluka. With less crowds and clean, soft-sand beaches, Vasai also earns the nickname ‘mini Goa’.

Paranaque Beach

The 15 km long stretch of Dahanu Beach is also known as Parnaka Beach. It is a beautiful place lined with coconut and sun palm trees. There are horses, camels and weekend fairs on the beach which provide proper entertainment for the tourists.

Chinchani Beach

Chinchan beach is approximately 100 km from Mumbai by train. The nearest railway station is Wangaon. The beach is very clean and clear with golden/silver sand. The Arabian Sea has an exotic natural beauty.

Mahim Beach

Mahim beach on the shores of the Arabian Sea offers a picturesque view of the Arabian Sea. Mahim beach is more popular as a sunset point. Nearby is the Mahim Fort, which was built to protect against Portuguese attacks.

Shirgaon Beach

The little-known Shirgaon beach is just 7 km from Palghar, adjacent to Kelve beach, separated only by a shallow reef.

Satpati Beach

Popular as one of the largest beaches in Maharashtra, Satpati Beach is a popular fishing hub in India. It is especially crowded during weekends and evenings. There are many fishing villages nearby. Saptapati Beach is about 13 km from the main city and is near Shirgaon Beach.

Zai Beach

A few miles from Bordi Beach is the beautiful village of Zai under Talasari taluka, from where you can reach the serene Zai Beach.
