Government of Maharashtra Water Supply and Sanitation Department Government Decision No.: JJMI2019\/PR.K.138\/PAPU-10(07) dated 04 September, 2020 As per this government decision, the Central Government has decided to restructure the National Rural Drinking Water Programme, which has been running since 2009-10, sponsored by the Central Government, by including it in the Jal Jeevan Mission. Accordingly, the Government is committed to providing water to all families in rural areas by 2024 as per the \"Har Ghar Naal Se Jal\" (FHTC-Functional Household Tap Connection). The main objective of the Jal Jeevan Mission is to provide at least 55 liters of quality water per capita per day through individual tap connections to every household in rural areas of the state by 2024.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> Under this, the objective is to provide clean, sufficient and sustainable water supply to every rural person for cooking and domestic use at a convenient place at all times and under all conditions. The main objective is not just to complete the scheme but to provide a sustainable service of efficient water supply. Implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the state as per the working guidelines of the Central Government and making the mission more effective.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
