Accordingly, all families in rural areas will be provided with drinking water by 2024. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every house has tap water<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 The government is committed to providing water as per (FHTC-Functional Household Tap Connection). The main objective of the Jal Jeevan Mission is to provide at least 55 liters of quality water per capita per day through individual tap connection to every household in the rural areas of the state by 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this, the objective is to provide clean, sufficient and sustainable water supply to every rural person for cooking and domestic use at a convenient place at all times and under all conditions. The main objective is not just to complete the scheme but to provide a sustainable service of efficient water supply. To implement the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state as per the working guidelines of the Central Government and to make the mission more effective.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel\" id=\"1755165990006-3d14a0ae-b2da\" data-vc-content=\".vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"vc_tta-panel-title translation-block\"><b>Action<\/b> <b>Plan<\/b><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1) Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, drinking water will be supplied to every household in the rural areas of the state through functional piped connections to provide drinking water security. The quality of drinking water is expected to be at least as per Indian Standard- BIS: 10500.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2) A baseline survey should be conducted and a plan for the next 4 years should be made to supply water to every household in the state through functional household tap connections.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3) Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, every family should be provided with water supply facility through domestic tap connection by the year 2024. Accordingly, Village Action Plan (VAP), District Action Plan (DAP) and State Action Plan (SAP) should be prepared. This action plan should include quarterly and annual planning of planned domestic tap connections to be provided and the funds required for it. The help of Implementation Support Agency (ISA), Rural Water Supply Department\/Sub-Department or Maharashtra Jeevan Authority should be taken to prepare the village action plan.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel\" id=\"1755166115564-1cb25a3a-1239\" data-vc-content=\".vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"vc_tta-panel-title\"><a href=\"#1755166115564-1cb25a3a-1239\" data-vc-accordion data-vc-container=\".vc_tta-container\"><span class=\"vc_tta-title-text\">Village Water Supply and Sanitation Committee (VWSC)<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Village Water Supply and Sanitation Committee established under the Gram Panchayat Act, 1959 is headed by the Sarpanch and the Gram Sevak is the ex-officio member secretary. This committee will plan, implement and maintain schemes for water supply through piped connections as per the guidelines of Jal Jeevan Mission. There will be a bank account at the Gram Panchayat level for village water supply management as per the guidelines of Jal Jeevan Mission and Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and its financial transactions will be conducted as per the guidelines of Jal Jeevan Mission and Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and Gram Panchayat Accounts Code. This committee will work as per the guidelines of Jal Jeevan Mission.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel\" id=\"1755166154626-8fef3e02-80b0\" data-vc-content=\".vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"vc_tta-panel-title\"><a href=\"#1755166154626-8fef3e02-80b0\" data-vc-accordion data-vc-container=\".vc_tta-container\"><span class=\"vc_tta-title-text\">The duties and responsibilities of the Village Water Supply Committee are as follows:<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1) The Village Water Supply and Sanitation Committee will be solely responsible for providing domestic water connections to all families in the village.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2) The responsibility of preparing the village action plan, planning, design, implementation, maintenance and repair of water supply schemes within the village will be the responsibility of the Village Water Supply and Sanitation Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3) To procure construction services\/goods\/materials from the organizations\/suppliers selected through the central tender process by the State Water and Sanitation Mission and to implement the scheme from that organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4) To arrange for inspection and performance evaluation of the scheme by a third party organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5) Undertake social audits of schemes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6) Encourage villagers to contribute 5% or 10% of the capital cost of the village water supply scheme infrastructure as public contribution (in the form of financial\/labor contribution). Charge and recover water tax.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the above highlights, the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Committee will also carry out other tasks as per the guidelines of the Central Government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The target is to provide at least 55 liters of quality water per capita per day to every family in rural areas of the state through individual tap connections.
