Sumtibai Suklikar Udayogini Women's Empowerment Scheme<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>State award<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>In order to provide loans at 0% interest rate to self-help groups in the state, interest subsidy is being transferred to all self-help groups that repay their loans smoothly by getting the central and state share, and loans are being provided to self-help groups at 0% interest rate.<\/p>\n<p>A) Under the said scheme, it has been approved to provide loans at an effective rate of 0% to women self-help groups eligible for interest subsidy under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission and to keep the maximum limit of interest on loans given to self-help groups at 12.50% for providing interest subsidy in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>b) Under this scheme, women self-help groups have been approved to provide interest subsidy facility under this scheme for loans for which they receive interest subsidy under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission under Category 1 or Category 2 of the Central Government. Through this scheme, new and good quality sanitary napkins have been made available to women and adolescent girls in rural areas under the name \u2018Asmita Plus\u2019. Under the Asmita scheme, a packet of 8 pads of 240 mm will be made available to adolescent girls aged 11 to 19 in Zilla Parishad schools for Rs 5. For this, adolescent girls will be registered through our Sarkar Seva Kendras and given Asmita cards. Teenage girls with Asmita cards will purchase sanitary napkins from self-help groups. In the first phase, approximately 7 lakh girls in the state will be given Asmita cards. The government will provide a subsidy of Rs 15.20 per packet to the self-help groups based on the number of packets sold to teenage girls with Asmita cards at Rs 5. Adolescent girls will be provided 13 packets in a year. Sanitary napkins will also be provided to women in rural areas at a reasonable price through the Asmita scheme. A packet of 8 pads of 240 mm will be available to women for Rs 24 and a packet of 8 pads of 280 mm for Rs 29. The self-help groups will purchase packets of sanitary napkins from distributors and sell them to each other. The group selling sanitary napkins will get a profit of 4.80 paise per packet. Under this campaign, all the families below the poverty line have to be united through self-help groups and unionization. Their problems have to be solved. The main objective of the campaign is to increase the profitable self-employment capacity of the families below the poverty line and the poorest of the poor, to provide self-employment and skill-based employment opportunities and to increase the permanent production of self-employment and bring them above the poverty line.<\/p>\n<p>The project, funded by the World Bank, is being implemented in Palghar district in an intensive manner in all the talukas of Palghar district. The main objective of the campaign is to bring together the rural poor to eradicate poverty in rural areas, build their institutions, increase the capacity and skills of these institutions, and help them come out of poverty by providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.<\/td>\n<td>In Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), self-help groups are evaluated based on the ten principles.<br \/>\n1. At the district level, the scheme is implemented through the District Rural Development Agency. The main objective of starting this institute is to make the unemployed youth in rural areas entrepreneurial and stand on their own feet. Young men and women from poor families in rural Maharashtra, aged 18 to 45, are given residential and free skill training in agricultural industry, manufacturing industry, processing industry, general industry. After completion of the training, guidance is given in terms of starting a business. Under this, livelihood enhancement programs will be implemented through producer groups\/self-help groups\/village unions\/ward unions to start new livelihoods of rural families at the village level and strengthen the existing livelihoods. This includes agricultural and non-agricultural components. Currently, 97 producer groups have been formed in Jawhar and various livelihood activities are being implemented through them.<\/td>\n<td><b>Objective :-<\/b> Under this scheme, a producer group of at least 15 to 40 women from self-help groups in Umed who are interested in doing a single business can be formed.
