Water scarcity eradication program

Name of the project- Various sub-projects to alleviate potential water shortages such as drilling wells, supplying water through tankers, acquiring wells, repairing piped water supply schemes, etc.

As per the Ground Water Act, the Ground Water Survey and Development Authority should prepare a potential water scarcity report based on the study of rainfall and groundwater level in the observation well and submit it to the Hon'ble District Collector for declaration of potential water scarcity areas. As per the government decision of 3 February 1999 and as per the government decisions of 27 February 2008 and 25 October 2008, all the Gram Panchayats should study the situation in the village and submit a resolution on whether there is water scarcity or not. In this resolution, measures should be proposed to alleviate water scarcity. Rural Water Supply Department,जि.प. मार्फत सदर ठरावाची छाननी करून कालावधी निहाय,गावनिहाय, Prepare a possible water scarcity action plan with measures. Obtain approval from the Hon. District Collector for the possible water scarcity plan. Survey the villages included in the plan through a geologist and obtain administrative approval from the Hon. District Collector as per the recommendations made in Form B. After receiving administrative approval from the Hon. District Collector, the measures are implemented.

Benefits – Since the water scarcity eradication program has already been implemented to provide drinking water to the potentially water-scarce areas, the villagers do not have to deal with the water scarcity.
