Nature of the scheme
Government Decision Dadbhu/2010/Pr.No.62/Pr-6, dated 16 September 2010 and 31.10.2015 and 25 January 2018 from the Rural Development Department and Water Conservation Department, Government of Maharashtra
1. Works to be undertaken under the scheme:-
- To arrange burning/burial land in rural areas maintain good condition and regulate the same for Cremation Works to be carried out on the ground Hands :-
- Cremation/Burial Land Acquisition
- Construction of the platform
- Shed construction
- Access road
- Ensure the security of the area by installing fencing or barriers as needed.
- Electrification of cremation/burial grounds and electrical conduit/improved cremation system as required
- Water facility
- Construction of crematorium/burial ground (as much as is necessary for cremation arrangements)
- Land leveling and flooring
- Memorial Park
- Gram Panchayat Building/Office Regarding Works To Be Done :-
- New Gram Panchayat Building Construction and Building Internal Facilities
- Reconstruction of Old Gram Panchayat Building / Extension
- Planting trees, improvement of the Gram Panchayat premises, installing aquarium and other ancillary works
- To increase the scope of works under the Public Utilities Scheme:-
- Gram Panchayat Area Weekly Market Center Develop Do
- Removing sludge from village ponds and beautifying village ponds
- Solid Waste Management Doing
- Underground Sewer Construction
- Installation of solar energy based double hand pumps and arrangement of water purification RO plant in the existing areas within the Gram Panchayat limits
d) Roads to be constructed under the Public Utilities Scheme
- Internal roads
- Construction of connecting roads from one settlement/village to another
Terms/Conditions/Eligibility for Participation in the Scheme
1) The Gram Panchayat will give administrative approval to every work under this scheme after the consent of the Pram Sabha.
2) Technical approval should be obtained through the competent authority.
3) Budget and plan maps
4) Maintenance/Repair/Gram Panchayat Guarantee and Gram Panchayat Resolution
5) The selection of works under this scheme will be done through the District Planning Committee.
6) 7/12 copy of the site where construction is to be done or sample 8 copy of the site
7) Certificate stating that the work presented is not proposed or approved from any other scheme.

9) The proposal along with the recommendation of the Block Development Officer should be submitted to the Gram Panchayat Department, Zilla Parishad, Palghar.
Special grant to Gram Panchayats under Urban Amenities Scheme
Nature of the scheme
As per Government of Maharashtra and Rural Development Department and Water Conservation Department Government Decision No. VPM-2610/Pr.No.129/Para4 dated 26 September 2010, the following additional facilities must be provided under this scheme of Special Grant for Urban Amenities to Large Gram Panchayats.
- Internal market development
- Public lighting facilities,
- Gardening, creating parks,
- study center,
- To build roads within the village
- Construction of underground drains for wastewater management.
Terms/Conditions/Eligibility for Participation in the Scheme
1) Under this scheme, the Gram Panchayat should prepare a plan and get the administrative approval of the Gram Sabha. After that, the proposal should be approved by the Chief Executive Officer of the ZP.
2) Technical approval should be obtained through the competent authority.

4) Maintenance/Repair/Gram Panchayat Guarantee and Gram Panchayat Resolution
5) The District Planning Board will have the authority to decide the priority order of the Gram Panchayats in the district. The District Planning Board will decide the priority order only from the Gram Panchayats whose population is above 5000 and whose Gram Panchayats have participated in the Environmentally Balanced Prosperous Village Scheme and fulfilled the criteria of that scheme.
