· To divert the beneficiaries in rural areas towards self-employment and provide them with free training through the government, and provide loans from banks as well as issuing government certificates. Rural Self-Employment Training Institute is a scheme run by the Government of India. And the Government of India, the State Government and the Bank are working jointly in this. The main objective of starting this institute is to make the unemployed youth in rural areas entrepreneurial and stand on their own feet. Nature of the scheme
· Nature of the scheme- It is implemented jointly by the Central Government, the State Government and the National Bank. Young men and women from poor families in rural Maharashtra, aged 18 to 45, are given residential and free skill training in agricultural industry, manufacturing industry, processing industry, general industry. After completion of the training, guidance is given in terms of starting a business. Guidance is also provided for obtaining financial assistance.
