Successful health check-up program for migrant beneficiaries at a brick kiln in Palghar district

As per the orders of the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad Palghar, a special program was organized for the health check-up of the migrant beneficiaries of brick kilns in Palghar district on 19th December 2024. Health camps were organized for this check-up in all the eight talukas of the district. For this, nodal officers were appointed at each place.

Ravindra Shinde Chief Executive Officer visited Jamshet (Kamdipada) in Dahanu taluka. He was accompanied by Praveen Bhavsar (District Programme Officer), Mr. Atul Paraskar Kar (Deputy Chief Executive Officer, NREGA), Child Development Project Officer, as well as Taluka Medical Officer. During this visit, a health check-up of the migrated beneficiaries was conducted at the brick kiln.

On this occasion, a detailed health check-up was conducted on behalf of the Health Department on pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children aged 0-6. Information about their problems was obtained by interacting with the beneficiaries. The Honorable Chief Executive Officer observed that the check-up was carried out in a proper and effective manner. It was directed that henceforth, the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department should jointly organize health check-up camps on the third Thursday of every month. The Chief Executive Officer expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the health check-up and appreciated the work of the Health and Women and Child Development Department for this.

This initiative will be important in improving the health of migrant beneficiaries and the district administration has expressed its determination to provide similar consistent services in the future as well.
