According to the Government Decision dated 21.11.2016 from the Rural Development Department, under the R. R (Aba) Patil Sumbar Village Award Scheme, 8 talukas of Palghar district are selected as Taluka Sundar Gaon. An award amount of Rs. 10.00 lakhs is paid to the Gram Panchayats selected as Taluka Sundar Gaon. Also, a District Sundar Village is selected from the selected Taluka Sundar, and an award amount of Rs. 40.00 lakhs is paid to the Gram Panchayats selected as District Sundar Gaon.
From 2016-17 to 2019-20, 8 Gram Panchayats have been selected as Taluka Beautiful Villages every year and the award amount has been paid to them. Similarly, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, 3 Gram Panchayats and in 2019-20, 2 Gram Panchayats have been selected as District Beautiful Villages and the award amount has been paid to them.
