Under the National Governance Program of the Bharat Nirman Program, the EPRI/ePanchayat Mission Mode Project is being undertaken to computerize all Panchayat Raj Institutions and bring uniformity and transparency in their administration.
The e-Gram Soft project is being implemented by all Panchayat Raj institutions in Maharashtra, including Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti, Gram Panchayat (a computerized rural Maharashtra that aspires to computerize and manage their affairs online).
A company called CSC-SPV has been appointed to implement the project.
This project is being implemented in Maharashtra under the name Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra.
