Objective of the scheme:- Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme is a scheme of the Central Government. Under this scheme, rural households are guaranteed work for a certain number of days in a year (initially 100 days). The main objective of this scheme is to provide employment and financial security to the rural population. 

 Personal tasks – 

  1. Unskilled work of Gharkul under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana/Indira Awas Yojana 
  2. Orchard planting 
  3. Tree plantation 
  4. Irrigation well 
  5. Farm ponds 
  6. Sinkholes 
  7. Compost Fertilizer/Nadef Fertilizer/Vermicompost Tank 
  8. Cattle/goat barn 
  9. Poultry shed 

  1. Public tree plantation (on public land/on both sides of the road/along the shoreline/on the embankment etc.) 
  2. Public irrigation well

 3.Pool repair and renovation 

  1. Roads 
  2. Construction of a protective wall for a school
